Within the New User Menu, you will be able to create, delete, deactivate and modify your own users for Kubota Dealer Online access. You will also be able to set their access levels (eg. Whether they see parts/ordering only, Dealer Account position, Dealer Service etc).
Below is how the user menu will appear when opened:
- In order to create a new user account within the user menu, press the +New button in the top right-hand corner of the screen as below:
2. Within the new user creation screen, you will be presented with the below fields.
The above fields are described below:
User Name (required): The desired login name for this user (note: this will automatically be prefixed with dealercode_ ie: entering jsmith will automatically create the log in dealercode_jsmith).
User Full Name (required): Enter the user’s full name to allow unique identification of them.
Description (optional): An optional description of the user eg: position, branch
E-mail address (required): The user’s email address. This address is required to send out password resets and to ensure each account is unique.
User Locked out: This indicates if you wish to create the account however disable the user from logging in.
Once you have entered the detail above click “View”
- To assign the level of access you would like this user to have to click the “+” button by “Roles”
- Using the dropdown list select the level of access you would like to give. Below is an example of the commonly used levels of access and their access.
Permission (required): Specifies the user’s access level in dealer online.
Dealer – Full Access (equivalent to the dealercode00 account, allowing access to all parts of Dealer online including account position, ordering, spare parts and service).
Dealer – Standard only, No Admin/Accts (equivalent to the dealercode01 account, with no access to account position but ordering, spare parts and service being available).
Dealer – Pricing/Availability Only (a heavily restricted account, restricted to pricing and availability queries only).
Dealer - Wholegoods Only (a heavily restricted account, restricted to Dealer Wholegoods related queries only).
Dealer – Service Only (a heavily restricted account, restricted to Dealer Service menu queries only).
Dealer – Spare Parts Only (a heavily restricted account, restricted to spare parts related queries only).
Dealer - Service Technician Only (a heavily restricted account, only meant for dealership's service technicians who only want to get access to service-related websites like KiCS, KiTS, etc, using DOL).
Once all required fields have been entered hit “Save” to create this user account.
5. From the Top right click “Invite User” This will send the user an e-mail their user name and their temporary password to allow them to log in.
