1. Create KBT Edge profile
- Click the profile icon again.
- Select Manage profile settings.
- Click Add profile → Add.
- App clear
- Sign in with the user’s kubota.com account.
- Rename the profile to KBT
- Choose a different theme colour from Kubota AU.
- Confirm the profile opens correctly.
Naming standard
Use these exact names if possible:
- Kubota AU
- KBT
2.Import bookmarks and passwords into Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Go to Settings → Profiles → Import browser data.
- Under Import from other browsers, choose the user’s current browser.
- Select the items to import:
- Favorites or bookmarks
- Saved passwords
- optionally Autofill and Browsing history
- Click Import.
- Confirm the import completed successfully
Note: Chrome passwords do not get imported into edge in this step automatically so export a csv from chrome and import it into Edge
3. Open Teams app
1.App clear
2.Open Teams and login with kubota.com profile.
3.Sign out from kubota.com.au profile.
- Open Outlook website in the KBT edge browser
- Open outlook website in the KBT edge browser and Log into user’s outlook account for Kubota.com
- App clear
- Make sure the Kubota.com.au outlook account is signed out the option will remain there but sign out of it still so the browser does not open that account by default
- Add a PWA for the outlook website using this button
Make sure the pinned to task bar, auto start and a desktop icon is ticketed when adding the app and when prompted hit yes to pin the PWA to task bar
- Make sure teams, KBT Edge profile and outlook PWA is pinned to task bar and if default edge profile is also pinned remove it if the user is okay with that
5. Change the KBT Edge profile's shortcut icon
Step 1 — Download the icon file or Use USB
Download the icon from:
Once the above is done update the icon for the KBT Edge profile with the Kubota icon. To do this copy the icon from the USB and place it on user’s pictures OneDrive folder and then update it for that edge profile.
Step 2 — Apply the icon to the desktop shortcut
- Right-click the KBT - Kubota com desktop shortcut.
- Click Properties.
- Open the Shortcut tab.
- Click Change Icon.
- Click Browse.
- Select the downloaded
.icofile. - Click OK → Apply → OK.
Step 3 — Refresh the taskbar version if needed
If the taskbar icon does not update:
- Unpin the old Kubota com taskbar icon.
- Launch the Kubota com desktop shortcut.
- Right-click the running icon on the taskbar.
- Click Pin to taskbar again.
6. Apply the profile settings
Open this page inside each profile:
- Settings → Profiles → Profile preferences

7. Last few Configuration Steps

Open Google Chat and Calendar in the KBT Edge profile and add them as favorites in the KBT Edge profile so the user can still access them while the whole company moves on to M365 apps.

Submit the delegated mailbox request if needed for that user based on their Gmail profile screenshot, which can still be opened in the KBT edge profile if needed.

Copy user's signature from Gmail to Outlook and make it the default for both new email and replies/forwards
- Remove Gmail from the auto-start list from the user's Chrome browser:
8. Run a Script in Kau-porta2
- Open CMD Run as Administartor
- Copy the script.
- cd c:\
- python kubota_email_organiser_0.5.py\kubota_email_organiser_0.5.py --email harman.singh@kubota.com
- After --email use the user's email on which we want to run the script.
- After that, it will generate a code.
- Go to KBT profile edge and search for login.microsoft.com\device
- Enter a code below after running the script

Leave Outlook PWA and Script windows open until it finishes.
The key things to discuss are after we do the migration:
- Advise them to use Outlook for emails.
- Advise them to use Google Calendar for meetings until advised.

- If they have a mobile phone, then ensure Outlook is set up on their phone. (If not, ask them to get this done by going to the EIT helpdesk.)
